Full Itinerary
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a Habitat Adventure Tour representative will greet you. You’ll be driven to your Arusha hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. Consider a short safari briefing with your guide, either on the same day or the next morning. The remainder of the day is at your leisure.
After breakfast, your guide will transport you to Tarangire National Park. Known for its sizable elephant herds, diverse bird species, and iconic baobab trees, Tarangire offers a unique landscape. Enjoy a picnic lunch and a half-day game drive, spotting lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, and more. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Embark on a full day of game drives, exploring Tarangire’s wildlife. The morning drive includes sightings of elephants, zebras, and various antelopes. After lunch, venture further into the park, witnessing the century-old baobab trees and diverse wildlife. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Following breakfast, drive from Tarangire National Park to Mto-wa-Mbu. En route, encounter Masai shepherds, local settlements, and the picturesque African scenery. Stop at Mto Wa Mbu for a local meal and explore banana and rice plantations. Continue to Karatu for dinner and overnight.
Begin the day with an early breakfast before heading to Serengeti National Park. Pass through Karatu, known as “Safari Junction,” and enjoy a thrilling drive through diverse landscapes. Pause for lunch and embark on a half-day game drive in Serengeti, encountering various wildlife. Reach your central Serengeti lodge for dinner and overnight.
Explore the central Serengeti with a morning game drive, focusing on predators like lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the Seronera area, home to diverse wildlife. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Participate in an optional hot-air balloon ride, offering a unique perspective of the Serengeti. Enjoy a champagne breakfast after the ride and continue with a game drive, spotting wildlife in the vast savannah. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Depart from the Serengeti and head to Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Descend to the crater floor, renowned for the “big five” animals and diverse ecosystems. Explore Maasai settlements and their harmonious coexistence with wildlife. Drive to your Karatu lodge for dinner and overnight.
Embark on a full-day trip to Karatu, visiting schools, local markets, and interacting with the residents. Engage in teaching activities at schools and experience everyday life in Iraqw homes. Explore local markets and indulge in Tanzanian cuisine. Return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight. Your Tanzania Wildlife and Cultural Safari is filled with unique experiences.
After a sumptuous breakfast at your lodge, your guide will make the approximately 3-hour trip from Karatu back to Arusha. As you get closer to Arusha, you’ll pass through more little towns.
Unfortunately, it’s time to bid farewell after a fun-filled and peaceful Tanzania Wildlife and Cultural Safari vacation, depending on your schedule your guide will escort you to the airport for your flight back home.
