A 7-days incredible Rwanda Primates Tour experience in the beautiful scenic Rwanda rain forests, you’ll travel 15,000 feet to the home of the incredibly enormous mountain Gorillas, walk across a magnificent canopy walkway 70m above ground in Nyungwe and Kayak in one of the country’s lakes in Kivu and Ihema. A journey like no other filled with exhilarating moments, entertaining cultural experiences, good food, and unforgettable memories.

Welcome to Rwanda! You’ll touch down in Kigali, a city with the influences of strong Rwanda tradition and modernity in its architecture and infrastructure, the people are charming and the culture is strong.
Visit city monuments and cultural art markets to get yourself acquainted with the magical Rwandan energy. Your guide will take you to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, you will start your Rwanda Primates Tour with a drive through the beautiful scenery to Nyungwe National Park for a couple of hours in the mountainous southwest. Inside the rainforest in Nyungwe NP is home to golden monkeys and chimpanzees, the park also has a variety of birdlife and beautiful butterflies flying about. Take your time to relax at your accommodation and enjoy the pool, bar, and killer views.
Today you’ll hike the beautiful rainforest in search of the playful chimps in the forest, the trek can be challenging as the chimps are elusive and very mobile, but once you’ve located them the experience is so rewarding. The chimps are vibrant and playful, their antics are so entertaining and heartwarming, you will leave the forest gratified and joyful.
The canopy walkway 70m above the forest, perched onto two big trees 160m apart is another highlight of Nyungwe National Park. Walk above the forest enjoying a unique view of the forest and park below, the sounds of the birds and cool air makes you feel like you are floating across the forest.
After the exciting experience retires to your accommodation, get relaxed, and wait for more fascinating adventures to come.
Today you’ll swop the rainforest accommodation for white sandy beaches in Lake Kivu. Kayak through the calm waters of Lake Kivu, take boat tours to the nearby islands and learn about the coffee and banana plantation in these areas. A night by the lake will do you good ahead of your Gorilla tracking adventure which now looms large.
Drive to the volcanoes NP, on the slopes of the virunga Massif ranges, the mountainous rainforest is home to giant mountain Gorillas, the gentle giants attract hundreds of thousands of tourists every year, permits are hard to get and therefore mostly booked months prior.
With your guide and a ranger, hike the forests in search of the huge Gorillas, singing birds will keep you company throughout your hike making everything magical and relaxing. After finding the Gorillas enjoying an hour in their presence, observing their human-like mannerism, watch the huge Male gorilla move about with grace and authority.
In your time at Volcanoes, you might also opt to take guided hikes exploring the beautiful scenery or visit a community village around the Volcanoes NP and learn the culture of the residents of this beautiful paradise.
It’s your final day in the beautiful country of Rwanda, Drive to Kigali and enjoy the beautiful scenery for the final time, together with lots of fond memories board your flight back home.
